We had a BLAST on our vacation to Galveston with my family and I thought I'd do a little recap because I had quite a few messages about where we stayed, what we did and what was kid friendly.

You can read all about this super cute home in the link, but its got everything we needed and it was big enough for 12 people! Very conveniently located and I would definitely recommend!

We didn't eat at a ton of restaurants to save some money. We cooked breakfasts and lunches at the Airbnb and then went to dinner at restaurants to try out the amazing seafood!
Fun Things To Do:
Obviously, there's the beach! We were there over Memorial Day weekend so it was quite busy. Keep in mind there is also a cruise terminal in Galveston so there is always lots of traffic due to that, as well! We stayed near Pier 61/Babe's Beach in Galveston! There's a Jimmy Johns, Sonic, Walmart, and bathrooms very close by so it was a nice little spot to enjoy the sand and ocean!

Its FREE, y'all! Don't pay for a dolphin tour, you'll see plenty on the ferry! Charlie said this was one of her favorite parts of our trip!
Fisherman's Wharf
Behind the Fisherman's Wharf/in the same area, you can go out and walk by the bay area and watch the boats. We even saw a couple dolphins there as well! It was relaxing and not a ton of people were in the area!

There are several other super fun places to shop on what they call "The Strand." There are your typical "tourist shops" with tshirts, braclets, and other Galveston labeled items but these couple were my favorite!

A couple things to know:
Be prepared to pay to park! It's not a ton, some of the lots even allow you to pay $10-$15 to park for the whole day!
Apply sunscreen before you walk out the door of wherever you're staying!
There is a fruit stand near Heards Lane and Texas 342...go and get a pineapple and some mangos!
